Being reborn with Royal Enfield

A classic never goes out of style much like the Royal Enfield Classic 350 that was relaunched with a newer engine but the same craftsmanship of the original Classic motorbike.

They approached Truetype to design the global print and digital campaign for the launch of their beloved Classic bike. Embarking on a lifestyle-centred and illustrative approach, the rebrand of this bike’s launch is more focused on widening its audience and rightly portraying it as a gender-inclusive and versatile product.

Four of the many available colours of the Classic 350 – Chrome Red, Signals Marsh Grey, Halcyon Green, and Dark Stealth Black – were depicted with photographs of men and women riders across illustrious and variegated landscapes of both, the city and nature – from urbanscapes to mountainside to beaches and jungles. The artwork with Chrome Red and silver motorbike features landscapes from Leh and Ladakh for the red accents of the monasteries and the silver stallion as well as the thunderstorm with lightning to showcase the silver. Similarly, the other illustrations and artwork schemes also depend on the body colour of the motorbike like Signals Marsh Grey is set against the backdrop of the Himalayas and features some Cuban architecture, the Halcyon Green is in a tropical field with vegetation, and the Dark Stealth Black is inside a city at night time.
