A new and relevant identity for Design Culture

We partnered with Design Culture to create a brand identity that reflects their innovative and forward-thinking ethos. Design Culture, an interior design and space planning firm, needed a visual identity that conveyed their commitment to blending creativity with functionality.

We embarked on this project by immersing ourselves in the world of interior design to fully understand the nuances of Design Culture’s work. Created a new logo that is timeless yet modern, using minimalistic design elements to represent the refined approach of Design Culture. The D coming from interior design floor plans where the door is shown as a D or a quadrant. The overall identity is a core play of shapes being derived from floor plans, geometry and typography. The Design Culture logo is always surrounded by an exclusion zone created by measuring the width of the capital D which lends it much needed breathing space.

We established a colour palette that blends neutral tones with accents of bold hues which are namely a combination of light and dark burgundy. We also have a carefully considered set of secondary colours. They are light pink, blue grey, light blue and grey. We also designed a typography system that is sleek and modern, ensuring it complemented the clean lines and contemporary aesthetic of the spaces Design Culture creates. We used a Futura Std across our communications to complement our identity. And in absence of Future Std, Arial can be used as a substitute.

The result is a brand identity and digital experience that positions Design Culture as a premier name in interior design. Their new branding strikes a balance between minimalism and sophistication, while their revamped website offers a clean, polished digital presence that attracts potential clients and showcases their portfolio effectively.
